Red Yao Bib
Name: Red Yao Bib

Item#: BIB40-2

This is a fully embroidered Red Yao woman's bib, traditionally worn under her jacket in lieu of a shirt, but now usually worn in addition to a shirt, with 4 handmade, hand embossed, heavy brass breastplates, each of a slightly different design, for additional decoration. The length is measured from the bottom of the neck loop to the bottom of the bib, so overall length, depending on whether displayed or worn, will add another 6 inches or so. The white embroidery thread is cotton, the black is silk, and the appliqued strips are of commercial cotton, folded and stitched in place. Part of daily wear for all Red Yao women in this region of Vietnam.

Size: 3 in. wide, 29 in. long
